Ouroboros Diluent & Oxygen manual inflate Gas Blocks click images to enlarge
Gas blocks on the Ouroboros rebreather are located on the front of the divers harness where they are easily reached.

Each of the oxygen and diluent gas blocks has the facility to plug in additional gas to a valve on its base. In the case of Diluent the off-board gas plugged into the gas block will continue to flow dynamically through the ADV and manual addition valve. The Oxygen off-board when plugged into the gas block will run dynamically through the Solenoid and manual addition valve.
(Click here to see gas flow chart)

If the gas plugged in is the same as the on-board gas then the on-board cylinder valve can be left open. If the on-board and off-board gases are different then the on-board gas cylinder valve must be turned off.
Now breathe the loop down three times, exhaling through your nose to purge the loop of the previously selected diluent.
Make sure that after plugging in the new gas and turning off the in-board cylinder, you change to the new diluent on the dive screen.

Regularly clean the off-board connection system.
